NARCOTICS DETECTION SERVICES
Our drug detection dogs employ the passive-alert
Our dogs are trained to give a 'passive-alert' signal when they detect anything suspicious - they assume an unassisted 'sit' position near a suspected drug find
We ensure the K9 handler is very well trained too
In addition to training our K9 handlers to work like well-oiled machines with their K9 partners, we also teach them about the importance of required record keeping. This ensures accuracy of the search procedure and find necessary to ensure their drug cases stand up in court.
Our drug detection dogs work almost anywhere
Upon completion of training and certification, Coast to Coast K9 Teams confidently work for:
- Colleges, universities and other education campuses
- Malls and shopping centers
- Air and ground shipping companies
- Convention centers
- Public and private sporting events
- Public and private entertainment events
K-9 Service Dogs drug detection dogs and handlers are well prepared for the job.
How we train Drug Detection Dogs
Our drug detection dogs are trained to detect marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin and methamphetamines.
We start by selecting dogs with a high search drive and strong passive alert. We only choose dogs from proven working dog bloodlines.
We make drug dog training as authentic as possible-we only use real drugs, not pseudo drug scents. We recreate the scenarios and situations drug detection dogs are likely to encounter when they are deployed into the work field. And our K9 teams practice in a multitude of realistic environments like buildings, vehicles, luggage, lockers, cargo storage spaces, etc.
If you have questions about our private drug detection program or would like more information, please contact us.
